About us
The Future Melting Pot was set up after spotting a gap in the market for an organisation supporting the aims and aspirations of disadvantaged young people in the West Midlands.
It was created to support the needs of budding entrepreneurs – primarily from the BAME (Black and Minority Ethnic) community – and help them develop their ideas and talents. TFMP wants to be a service of support and help to those looking to start their own business.
Our main aim is to provide a support network for women and young people looking to develop their business skills, career prospects and awareness of the business world.
We want to open new gateways to disadvantaged groups who find it hard to engage meaningfully with traditional business and strategic networks so that ultimately everyone has their fair chance to flourish.
Using our wealth of collective experience – in total, thirty years across the public, private and voluntary sectors – we utilise our skills and tailor them to meet the needs of our budding entrepreneurs.
We meet these needs by providing support for business start-ups through a combination of e-learning and face-to-face interaction.
Our positive, practical approach, coupled with our appreciation of people and our promotion of innovation and creative thinking, allows us to deliver a personalised service to all of those we help.
A large part of our work is to secure funding that will allow us to develop our goals and deliver the services that will help young entrepreneurs be successful in their enterprises. This includes the development of an Enterprise Forum for young people and a Business Incubation Space. For more information on this, please see (link to bid document) or the ‘How We Can Help’ pages on this website.
We also make use of our extensive public sector partnerships, private sector alliances and community networks to help our clients achieve their goals. Using these networks, coupled with our expertise, we aim to bridge the gap between education and commerce and act as a stepping stone on the road to success.
